Paul A. Renno
Paul has been practicing attorney in the development and financing of affordable housing and health care projects for over 30 years. He has been at Levy, Levy & Levy for nine (9) years. Previously, Paul served as the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Counsel for PNC MultiFamily Finance, Inc. (“PNC”). PNC acquired TRI Capital Corporation (“TRI”) in 2002, where he had served as General Counsel collectively for 17 years. TRI was a mortgage banking firm whose primary business was Federal and agency mortgage lending including HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and large conduit lenders. Prior to PNC/TRI, Paul served as staff counsel with the Department of Housing and Urban Development in San Francisco where he specialized as in all facets of FHA multifamily financing and asset management. In addition to his other functions, Paul was designated as the Office’s legal contact for project work-outs and asset sales. In summary, Paul continues to work primarily on complex multi-layered financing and workouts for commercial housing and mixed-use developments.
Paul is a member of the California Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and the American Bar Association. Paul is a graduate of George Washington University’s National Law Center in Washington, D.C., receiving his J.D. in 1976 and of the University of Redlands, Redlands, CA, receiving his B.A. in 1971. He has been a featured speaker on affordable housing issues at many industry conferences.
